The Demo Sessions

It's been a long year. Too long, too hard. For me, having some time to play music, write music, record music, has kept me going. Over the past three months I've been able to do that with my wife again, after years of only playing in church together (which is great, but...). We're really only just begun to work on some of our new stuff together and only just begun sharing some new songs with our friends. This past weekend we recorded some early drum tracks for two new songs. For those who know some of what we've been through this year, you know that it's a big step for the two of us to be writing together and working together. I'm so excited about these new songs and the honesty that Alyssa is putting into the lyrics and the performances.

Here are two songs that Alyssa and I have been working on. Actually, we did these two recordings very quickly with little more than a mic in the center of what I call the "backroom" of our house. We're already working on full band arrangements and recordings of these songs, but we need you're support to afford the costs of recording. We need a couple of mics to better capture Alyssa and Libby's amazing voices. We need a pair of matching condenser mics to better capture the nuanced sounds of our acoustic instruments.
