The Open Door is a community of faith in Pittsburgh's East End. In 2004 John began his work with the new faith community and helped lead the church as it's founding associate pastor. The Open Door is a unique community of people striving to balance the contemplative lifestyle with efforts of social and environmental justice. The Open Door is a Presbyterian Church (USA) and takes pride in being an open church for people of all backgrounds, and spiritual journeys.
